We are entirely run and operated by volunteers, and there are lots of different ways to get involved in supporting the museum! We also have virtual volunteer opportunities. For more information click here.

Marketing Team
Help us with any aspect of marketing, from creating brochures to ads for the museum and events!
Fundraising Team
We will be working on a capital campaign and other aspects of fundraising to support the museum’s activities, and we could use your help!
Cleaners
Come in and help with the deep cleaning of the museum to keep it spotless and safe for all our visitors!
Exhibit Builders & Reset Team
Help us build and install new exhibits when we switch them out, or switch over the museum’s theme!
Event Volunteers
Help with museum events – anything from day to day events to mobile museum events. In this role, you will interact with museum patrons and help with set-up and clean-up. You will need to complete clearances first.
Join our ‘Founding 50’!
The community support of the LVCM has been amazing and we want to continue to make steps toward making the LVCM a permanent place for children and families to learn through play! But we need your help!
The Founding 50 group is exactly how it sounds – these are our earliest financial supporters that believe our children deserve an interactive play & learning environment right here in Lykens Valley. We are seeking 50 donations of $1000 each from individuals, businesses, and foundations to further our mission. This initial fundraising will go toward funding the museum in 2020 and beyond. This funding will become invaluable for grant opportunities, by showing granters that we have strong community support for our mission.
Our founding 50 will be recognized with a commemorative plaque featuring their names and a testament to their belief in an optimistic future for our children.

Sponsorship
Sponsoring with the LVCM allows businesses to sponsor exhibits and events at the museum. The museum is always looking for businesses that are wishing to give back to the children of the area and beyond. If you are interested in current sponsorship opportunities, contact us for more information.
The LVCM will soon be a part of the Educational Improvement Tax Credit Program (EITC), Paperwork is pending. More information to come.
