Make your next celebration or group outing an adventure at Lykens Valley Children’s Museum! Whether you are planning a memorable birthday party, a homeschool gathering, a daycare visit, or another small-group event, our hands-on exhibits give children plenty of opportunities to play, explore, and learn together. Choose the rental option that fits your group and create an experience everyone will enjoy.
Birthday Parties
Join us to celebrate your child’s birthday at the Lykens Valley Children’s Museum! The museum is available for rental for children’s birthday parties for groups of up to 20 children.
Rentals
1 hour in our New Launch Pad Space for the food/cake portion of the party. The move to the LVCM to explore!
Access to the Launch Pad Space for 30 minutes before and 30 minutes after the museum for set-up/clean-up
Pricing
$50 – Non-refundable deposit for party reservations
Launch Pad Party ($180) – (up to 15 children)
- 1 hour in the Launch Pad Space for a private party
- Unlimited play in the museum during open hours (all guests must leave by closing time)
Ultimate Launch Pad Party ($230) – (up to 20 children)
- 1 hour in the Launch Pad Space for a private party
- Followed by 2 full hours of private rental of the entire museum
Party Policies
Party hosts must complete the Birthday Party Agreement
Food & drink (non-alcoholic) may be brought in for the party
Minimum one week notice required for cancellation
Party host responsible for food/drink clean-up
1 adult required for every 5 children
$50 for extra hour of rental
Small Group Rentals
Small group rentals are the perfect solution for home school groups, day cares, preschools, mommy & me groups, and others!
Rates
$180 for 2 hours for 20 children for exclusive usage. (Private Rental).
$100 for for 20 children and 4 adults (during museum open hours).
Reservations & Deposit
Reservations and a $75 non-refundable deposit are required.
To cancel your event for a refund (minus the deposit), we require one week’s advance notice.

Discounts
For Professional Human Service Staff (Occupational Therapist/Family Counselors, etc.): If you have a therapeutic session at the museum, while we are open, the service provider is free and the client is $4.00 a person. Must have proper ID and reservations are required.
